John Scofield has played with Miles Davis and is an incredible guitarist. After watching only the first 20 minutes I learned a lot. The DVD shows Scofield playing with a band and then him giving a lesson. The way he explains harmony, how he applies it to the guitar and how he practices it is what makes this an incredible lesson. The way he practices affects what he plays and the way his ideas sound, his feel. This is what makes him a great guitarist and is probably why Miles Davis asked him to play in his band.
